I had a whole newsletter ready to go this week about business and art and creativity and portfolio careers as the ultimate form of self expression, but then I remembered that I just did something big and should probably talk about it.
I’m not being facetious, I genuinely wrote a newsletter titled ‘Portfolio careers are the ultimate form of self expression, and here’s why’, stick figure drawings and all. I was going to casually mention my big news. Off-hand. To the side. As an afterthought.
I felt hesitant to share because:
I’m human and occasionally struggle to talk about my work and give it the credit it deserves
I’m Aussie and have grown up in tall poppy culture eating humble pie for breakfast
It was far more comfortable to share my news as a footnote, but then I remembered that I’m not here to be comfortable. I’m here to help, inspire, teach, create and share. I’m here to have measurable impact on peoples’ abilities to build portfolio careers that can sustain their lives. Not only that, I’ve committed to building in public and to showing up for myself when I’ve tried really really hard.
So here I am.
Announcing the launch of my Portfolio Career Operating System; an all-in-one OS designed to help you streamline workflows, save time and minimise burnout while focusing on the things that drive more revenue, happiness and fulfilment.
This OS is an export of my brain and the only thing that allows me to operate consistently at a high level. It covers every major process you need to build a financially lucrative and creatively fulfilling portfolio career, and it’s the exact system I’ve used to grow my multi-six-figure portfolio of work across startup consulting and advisory, mentoring, writing, speaking gigs and digital products.
The OS is a space for you to strategise and plan. A system to organise tasks and time. A fully fledged client management hub. An integrated sales and marketing engine that leaves no money on the table. It has 3+ hours of training videos plus a behind-the-scenes look at how I use it in my day to day.
It’s a portfolio career shortcut; and not the bad kind that cuts corners but the force multiplying kind that helps you see around them.
This OS has enabled me to ship 66 newsletters, grow my Substack to 5500+ subscribers, share hundreds of LinkedIn posts and 50+ Tiktoks this year. It’s the system that got me featured on the front page of Business Insider, landed me clients from Australia and the USA, and helped me earn 2.5x my highest ever salary in under a year. All while working on my own time and terms.
And now it can be yours.
So I have a question for you, my friend.
What might happen next year if you finally decided to back yourself? If you decided to actually do the thing, rather than just thinking about doing it?
What might happen if you got the right tools and put the right processes and systems in place?
What might become your reality if you followed a proven portfolio career blueprint?
Earning more than you ever did in a full time job could become your reality. Working on projects that light you up could become your reality. Owning your time and energy could become your reality.
Everything is possible if you commit to learning, upgrading your skills, taking more risks and letting go of the need to be given permission. If you invest in growth, work smart and take a chance, you’ll make it happen. You’ll break every limiting belief and achieve more than you could have ever hoped for.
You’ll stand tall and be proud, like a poppy swaying in the wind.
PS. The OS early bird pricing is $299 USD (valued at over $1500 USD) and will be increased on Jan 9th 2025.
PPS. this is how the OS launch went down, in real time.
Today’s chat is sponsored by, you guessed it, the Portfolio Career Operating System!! In this 6 minute video you’ll get a sneak peek into one of the key elements: the Daily Dashboard. Have questions? Let me know in the comments below.

Best wishes for this Anna. I'm from New Zealand and can totally relate to the tall poppy syndrome. I live in the USA now where that's not a thing and though I'm still very connected to my roots I also get value from the saying " if you're going to lead the orchestra, you must turn your back to the crowd". Congratulations on your launch and for choosing to be a tall poppy!
Hi Anna,
I love the look of this as someone with a LOT of ideas! I am founder of a small-medium sized business with a team of 20 and 100 subcontractors. We have CRMs, use Trello and I have a PA (currently on mat leave) but I still struggle so much with where my focus should be going. My role as founder is to support my leadership team with coaching, ensure financials are on track, leading strategy. But I also have a big personal brand on LinkedIn, do speaking and podcasts and this year I want to do more things (like growing my personal/ non work brand on substack), spend more time writing and just continue to do things that light me up. Your OS seems to be for solopreneurs, would you think I’d get benefit from it? Thank you!! 🙏🙏
