Hi Anna! I have a similar type of business but I called it a knowledge-based lifestyle business.. I just stumbled across you from Alyce Greers Substack (she egged me on to get on here) and I love your perspective and writing, we are very aligned. So hiiiii!
Hey Stevie, lovely to meet you in the comments section 💁🏻♀️. Alyce is the best - such a great writer and lovely human so I'm glad she directed you my way. Congrats on everything you've built so far, it looks epic! I love the idea of a knowledge-based lifestyle business too, an ever so slightly different take on the portfolio career. Very cool 😊
And once you find it, you never lose sight of yourself again because you know when you start straying too far. You go from content to feeling off-center immediately!
I can really recognize myself in that feeling of not being my most vibrant self, for years I was in that place 🥴
I believe it's so important to follow what lights you up — what makes you glow from the inside out and fills you with joy and alignment. ✨💃
I spent too many years holding myself back, and the only thing that comes from that is a lack of vibrancy… a sense of not feeling fully alive.
I've used astrology for many years to help me discover my own kind of ikigai — and the closer I get to living in alignment with my true potential and skills, the more alive I feel. 🌟And I built my business around that.
Too many people limit themselves and build a life or business based on a one-size-fits-all model — but that’s not how we’re meant to live.
We are all uniquely different, and that uniqueness is what makes our path so special.
You’re so welcome. I’m happy that it sparked something in you! I completely agree that you need to follow what lights you up. I try and always take my natural curiosity as a signal to dig deeper.
A portfolio career in my mind is a work structure that's fully self defined. Mine includes startup consulting and fractional work, founder advisory, portfolio career mentorship, writing and my digital product, the Portfolio Career OS.
I know someone who's a startup operator and part-time musician. Another person who's an investor, advisor and on various boards. A creative who has two totally different businesses.
Once you think about work as constructed as a sum of many parts as opposed to just one thing, the opportunities are really infinite. And I think it's a pathway to living out your personal ikigai.

Interesting concept, curious to see what other mish-mash of specialities thrive from a portfolio career.
The possibilities are endless!
