I am 'peering over the edge of a precipice to a wide, open abyss below.' And like you describe, I have good days and bad days where I scroll through job listings. So, thankyou for this, not just for the hope you give, but also, for the tools that I can use.
Having your own business is the best self development work you’ll ever do 🤪 every block you come up again will inevitably reflect a limiting belief you have! Another great post xx
So much of this article resonated with me, especially the part about those little wins adding up. I think we sometimes forget to celebrate those moments when we're so focused on what's next. Personally, I've started incorporating little celebration rituals into my routine to combat that. I keep a running list of all the small wins throughout the day or week, things I might normally overlook. Then, I make a point of acknowledging them, maybe with a happy dance, a special treat, or just a quiet moment of gratitude. It's a simple way to remind myself of all the progress I'm making, and it keeps me motivated to keep moving forward!
You’re so right. I really struggle to remember to acknowledge the wins and give them the time and space they deserve. I love this little ritual of yours, I’m going to give it a go 🫶
Excellent advice and a powerful reminder, Anna. The cornerstone of a thriving network is mutual benefit. By genuinely understanding and addressing the needs of others, you not only foster strong relationships but also unlock opportunities for your own success. The art of connection is in bridging people together.
Another great piece Anna. I especially loved the key questions you ask at the end of each conversation - I can see these being just as applicable as an employee to deliver the most value to your partners / clients too.
Hi Anna. Thank you for sharing and giving us a glimpse of how it was for you. As for me, I’m on panic mode lol I also quit my job 4 months ago and the unpaid bills are scary!!! Reading your post reminded me to keep going. And things will be okay soon. So, again, thank you.
Thanks! I wish I’d added another tip on the audio track - to have an answer prepared to the question “how can I help you?”. It’s always good to have an answer up your sleeve when someone offers.
Absolutely loved this! Thank you for such concrete advice, been scribbling away! It’s super validating to hear as well since I’ve been having a ‘I’m doing it all wrong!’ Kinda day. It’s ok 🥵
This is so freaking relatable! I thought I knew what I was leaving behind when I left corporate, but I didn't truly know until the safety net was no longer there.
I’ve done this before. I quit my FT job to go all in on a business without a strong financial plan (or any plan really). I’m here to tell the tale, but it was bloody hard.

More power to you.

Absolutely agree 💯
Oh my goodness, you had me at scrolling LinkedIn's job page! I haven't done this at 2am, but it's not far off. Thanks for sharing this.
You’re definitely not alone in the LinkedIn jobs page doom scroll. I was there many times in the early stages of being self employed haha.

A strong community for support and network to unlock opportunities is really everything when you’re working for yourself.

Absolutely! I think these questions can be applied to any working relationship to figure out where the true value exchange lies.

Unpaid bills are scary! I feel you. But I promise you'll make it through this tough part. We always do ❤️
❤️🙏
Thanks for the great advice again Anna, and love the tips on the audio track!

Super helpful anna! Those final key questions on your audio are great!! I will definitely be trying them out

You’re absolutely not doing it wrong, there is no such thing ❤️

Appreciate your wisdom and voice!
We’re all out here experiencing the same thing 🫶
Potentially, letting go without seeking the safety net, and fully embracing the abyss, might bring even deeper insights. Wdyt?

This is such excellent advice Anna, I am enjoying your newsletters so much. Thank you!
You’re so welcome ❤️
