Got over my morbid fear of ex-colleagues laughing at me and started sharing my Substack to LinkedIn. Hahaha too real. I also just started doing this and bought your mini offer template which is going live on Monday! Wooo. Also love your images and how you scribble on them. Would you be open to sharing how you do that? I’m still playing around with images on mine and rn using AI to do them for me😁
I've written a few posts about being a generalist and seeing it as a competitive edge, but I will definitely table this question for an upcoming post. Thanks!
I’ve read a couple of them and totally get it. I’m a generalist but have the same question about ‘how do I start positioning myself with content on LinkedIn (say) and don’t sound as I’m jumping around?’. How do I make it cohesive, specially without having to explain about generalists, etc.
Have you ever done a piece about how you reached out to founders? That’s amazing that you were able to get such great fractional opportunities that way!
Ah this "A hard experience (being made redundant, having a career crisis, moving back in with your parents lol) is often setting you up for something great". Just the reminder I needed (again) 🙂😅
Love all these details, including the pivots, tears, "yes" to everything, burnout... i'm so annoyed with people online pretending life and career are linear, easy paths, so thanks for being real with this! really helpful to see it all laid out in order, too.
I find this so relatable even though we're in totally different industries. Great advice at the end about mapping out skills. As a generalist it can be hard to know what to offer!

Oh nice!! Can you let me know how it goes?! Send me the link when it's live 🫶🏼
I literally just use an Apple Pen, nothing fancy!
Ooh I thought so! Great handwriting and I will! Thanks
Thanks for that post. Seeing events in order helps a lot.
Would love to see how you repositioned yourself and how you described being a generalist as a strength and not just jumping around.
BTW the article and link at the end of introverts made my day.
Thanks!!!

A post on that would be awesome

So incredibly detailed and helpful, thank you! Love that you included examples as well - really brought it home for me!
You’re so welcome

Nothing is linear and everything has its ups and downs! I think it's important to keep it real ❤️

It's a super useful exercise! Highly recommend you try it if you're struggling to figure out your competitive edge 😊
